How Will Canada Post’s 2016 Lettermail Postage Rate Changes Affect Your Commercial Printing and Direct Mailing Services?


On January 11th, 2016, Canada Post will increase postage costs for a number of direct mail delivery categories.
These postage rate changes pertain to:

  • First Class Lettermail
  • Incentive Lettermail
  • Personalized Mail (formerly Addressed Admail)
  • USA and International Letter-post
  • Publications Mail
  • Business Reply Mail

2015’s standard fee for Neighbourhood Mail (formerly Unaddressed Admail) will stay the same in 2016–15.8 cents per piece, plus a 1 cent transportation fee.

Canada Post’s First Class Lettermail Price Sheet (2016)

Most direct mailing projects in this category involve Standard size pieces, weighing 30 grams or less.
